It is our dream to make this something that is so common place that its not a surprise to see you neighbour come outside of their property boundry and care any spot of shared community land. We are starting with what we can do, the small patches of soil at the foot of the trees in our area. Keep your eyes out for what you could do in your area.

 

In 2004 Adam moved to Brighton and started to open his small flat as a part of the open house festival, Adam a ceramacist met Dan the designer from London and togeather they have created communitree. Both in love with the Brighton community, how different views are freely embraced -  it began with a few pots of daisys and a lavender bush from the pound shop of all places.

 

Slowly it snowballed as the passion for gardeing grew. The seed was firmly planted in their minds and as they both set out on the daily commute they identified more and more spots that could become communitree mini gardens. Oasis' in the concrete jungle. 

 

A pack of seeds one day and a browse around garden centers the next, slowly something bigger started to evolve, Now as you walk around Brighton you will notice that there are a whole treassure trove of people doing it, and have been doing it long before communitree.

There are so many people that have a love of nature and who want to see something more fun and alive on a daily basis, A flower has the great ability to make anyone smile.
